With the IB education, there is an IB registration and exam fee, established by the International Baccalaureate Organization in its Handbook of Procedures and published in the R-7 Course Enrollment Handbook. As an IB World School, students are held accountable for paying those fees accurately and on time. Neither the school nor the district profits from these fees. Every penny collected from our LSN families for IB registration and examination fees is sent directly to the IBO for its administrative costs in preparing, distributing, assessing and reporting your student’s examinations.

If you are a senior enrolled in an IB course, you will be completing assessments for IB during this school year and sitting for exams in May of 2022.

If you are a junior enrolled in IB Psychology SL, IB Film SL, IB Music SL, IB Visual Arts SL, IB Environmental Systems and Societies SL, IB Business Management, IB Sport, Exercise, & Health Science, IB Social and Cultural Anthropology SL, and/or ITGS, you will also be required to complete course-related IB exams in May 2022.

Failure to complete these assessments or sit for the exam means that you will not qualify for the IB Course Certificate and will lose full weighted points toward your GPA.

The IB exams administered in May 2022 will cost $119 per course.
