In the NFL Divisional Round, the Chiefs came out on top against the Colts with a win of 31-13. In the coming AFC Championship game against the Patriots, there could be historically low temperatures between 10 degrees to below zero due to an artic blast in Kansas City. This could not only be the Chief’s first ever championship home game, but it could also become the franchise’s coldest game.
“It will be a little chilly and that’s OK. We’re at that time of the year. You go play,” Andy Reid, Chiefs Head coach, said, courtesy of chiefs.com.
With a trip to the Superbowl on the line, many NFL fans are excited to see who will win. Numerous Chiefs fans believe that the home advantage, especially considering the weather conditions, will help lead the team to victory.
On the other hand, fans of the Patriots believe that their offensive line is stronger than the Chiefs defense. Similar to that, the Chiefs have lost to the Patriots earlier this season.
The AFC Championship game is set to start at 5:40 p.m. central time on Saturday, January 20 and will be streamed on CBS.
