At this point in time, “Harry Potter” has become more of a phenomenon, easily becoming one of the most beloved film series of the decade. That being said, the spin-off series, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”, is less popular.
Starring Eddie Redmayne and Ezra Miller, the film had fans rolling eyes and disregarding the plotline. Two years later and the second installment is being released on Friday and many fans are displeased with it. From Johnny Depp’s abuse accusations to Nagini being a person and not just a snake–it appears that the movie lost some magic the original series had.
Despite the negative connotations that appear to follow the movie around, many fans are still excited for its release.
“I don’t know how I feel about the whole Johnny Depp thing, but I’m still excited to watch the new one. I love “Harry Potter”,” Joy Covington, senior, said.
Whether or not the movie turns the beloved franchise into something darker remains to be seen, but if you want to be apart of the magic you can find the film on November 16.
