On October 31 from 6 to 8 p.m., the LSN PTSA will hold its annual Safe Halloween for the community. The event will occur in the commons where there will be 30 to 40 booths set up for the trick-or-treaters. The students passing out the candy will be in costumes and the commons will be decorated for the event as well. Students participating in Safe Halloween will receive community service hours while being able to connect with LSR-7 families.
“It allows younger kids to experience Halloween in the safety of a school building,” Jake Lally, senior, said.
The event is free to the community and is aimed at presenting an opportunity for families to have a trustworthy, indoor location for Halloween night. Safe Halloween is able to be put on due to the proceeds from the LSN PTSA firework stand held over the summer.
