Hurricane Florence has dissipated but it is said that it could reform in the Atlantic hitting the US East coast again. Calling this new theoried hurricane “Kirk”. Weather forecasters have said it is not likely hurricane Kirk will be as powerful as Hurricane Florence.
National Hurricane Center (NHC) gives it a 20 percent chance of forming in five days. Kirk is very likely to hit the East Coast, and bring more rain to the Carolinas.
“It is moving very slow, and it is not in a good environment. Right now, it is just a small system of storms. But there is a lot of dry air and strong upper level winds that would create shear, which tropical storms don’t like,” Victoria Olivia, a meteorologist with the national with the National Weather service’s Wilmington Office, said (courtesy of www.express.co.uk)
