Harry Potter has been a beloved franchise for over a decade and is still the third leading box-office movie series in history. That being said, John Williams’ music behind the magic is almost as loved, if not more so. To recreate the magic, Kansas City is hosting the live Kansas City Symphony Chorus as they play the soundtrack of to third movie. Adult tickets are $40, kids are $32 and anyone is welcome.
“I honestly never thought a thing like this had existed before last year when I first heard the symphony would be performing along to some other Harry Potter movies,” Julie Turner, senior, said.
Starting tonight, people all over Kansas City are able to enter the world of Harry Potter once again.
“I would totally be willing to see the concert, if I had known beforehand I would probably go. I think this is a very cool idea, it’s kind of like performing a movie on stage while it’s also projected in the background,” Turner said.
The KC Symphony will perform September 5 through September 7.
