On Tuesday, May 1st the LSN Girls Lacrosse teams took a sad defeat when they came up one point short against the almost undefeated team. The Stars of St.Teresa’s Academy. St.Teresa’s winning streak was recently broken by Sion. The girls did a great job as a team. Down 3-9 at half the girls had to strategize and come up with another plan for the second half. Come second half the girls picked up the pace and they got the score tied up at 11-11.

“It was interesting because our first half was bad, but come second half someone did something good and I feel like the rest of the team followed and we fed off of each other,” Erica Odell, senior midfielder, said.

The girls then went into overtime and they played hard for the last few minutes of the game on defense. The Stars then got what the girls are calling a “lucky shot” off of them, and that ended the game with the score 11-12. The girls next game will be Thursday, May 3 at Lee’s Summit West, with JV starting at 5:30, and Varsity at 7:00.
