Skating in a Winter Wonderland

By Maria Smith

The Crown Center Ice Terrace is the only outdoor ice skating rink in Kansas City. They are two weeks into their 45 season which lasts long into the New Year. They officially opened on November 3 and will stay open until March 11, the only day they are closed between now and then is Christmas day. Their regular hours which they keep all throughout November, December, and January are 10 a.m.- 9 p.m., but they stay open until 11 p.m. on Fridays, and Saturdays. It costs $6 to get in and another $3 to rent skates.

“I would recommend going because you get to just roll around and it’s very Christmasy, which is great,” Payton Stewart, freshman, said.

They have two for one admissions Tuesdays which start at 5 p.m. and it is a great time to get out and enjoy the winter air.
